The service

Bookesta Invoices lets you create invoices, share them through private links, download them as PDF, and, for registered users, keep a history of invoices, customers and business details.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the invoices you issue, including tax treatment in your jurisdiction. The application applies the tax rates you enter; it does not determine which rates apply.
  • You are responsible for keeping links and passwords you share under control, and for revoking links you no longer want to be valid.

Guest invoices

Invoices created without an account are tied to the browser that created them. If that browser's cookies are cleared before you sign up, the sender-side access to those invoices cannot be recovered; recipients' links keep working.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as is, without an uptime guarantee. Features may change.

Pricing

Creating, customizing, sharing and emailing invoices is free forever, with or without an account and for unlimited users. The Pay as you go tier shown on the home page adds data retention, payment tracking and reports, billed on usage (per transaction and per data stored); the Business tier adds API access and integrations at pricing agreed per business. Owner to confirm the billing currency and the usage rates before paid tiers are sold. Until then every account receives the free tier.

Fair use of the free tier

"Unlimited users" and "unlimited invoices" on the Forever free tier mean ordinary use by a business invoicing its own customers. The following are outside fair use and may be rate-limited, suspended, or moved to a paid tier after notice:

  • Automated or scripted bulk creation of invoices, accounts or links, or use of the service as a back end for another product.
  • Reselling access, or issuing invoices on behalf of unrelated third parties as a service.
  • Sending unsolicited email, or using invoice links or emails for anything other than billing the named recipient.
  • Usage that materially exceeds what a single business of similar size generates, or that degrades the service for others.

Where use exceeds these bounds, the operator will contact the account holder before restricting access, except where abuse is ongoing. Owner to specify: concrete thresholds (for example invoices per month or storage per account) at which notice is given, and the notice period.
